Super-effective BoltBeam combo! We're drawing Pokémon, and... stuff!
Day 104: Rock/Electric
Jestrill -> Cacklash (Revive from Bristle Fossil)
Many modern Electric-type Pokémon are speculated to share a common ancestry with Jestrill and Cacklash, whose bodies are patterned with stripes of super-conductive fur. As with many of today’s Electric-types, such as Pikachu or Jolteon, physical contact with this charged fur can cause electric shocks. Unfortunately for these ancient Electric-types, they actually suffer through their own electric shocks.
Though Jestrill are relatively low-voltage, the constant tiny shocks cause them to grind their teeth in irritation, producing a noise somewhat like laughter. As they grow older and evolve into Cacklash, not only does their fur become more highly charged, but their jaws develop as well. Cacklash bow their heads under the strain of their huge, heavy heads, grinding their teeth even more forcefully.
Unfortunately for both, this non-stop grinding of teeth does little to sooth as some of their most powerfully charged fur is located around their mouths.
